Tried Blogging Yesterday

However, the computer and I were not getting along.  So, I decided to put the computer away before I chucked it.

Today, I did not go to R's house.  We had gotten water last night so we spent today unloaded the water into the tank from the back of the truck.  I also did four loads of laundry today.

Let's see....
The pig has not had her babies, but is copping an attitude with me because I don't go in to her pen every single time I go by there.  She thinks she's a dog or at least on the same level as dogs.  (She even sits like a dog.)  She has managed to toss her water and feed buckets to the center of the pen.  That means going in there.  When I go in, she rubs up against me and tries to eat my jacket.

The barn for the other animals is about half done.  The hardest part is done.  It should be finished in the next few days.  I was planning on riding Casey today, but never did get a chance to saddle her.  It was going to be my treat to myself after all the laundry was done, but the laundry took most of the day.  I had four loads.

Today was spent doing laundry as you already surmised.  As I was doing laundry, I was being otherwise lazy and watching 21 Jump Street.  (Hey, if we're going to run the generator, might as well make it multi-task.  Right?)  I don't think I realized as a teen-ager when I was watching it in first run just how "after school special" it was.  However, it is still fun watching.  I have seasons 1 and 2 on DVD.  I am dreaming of the day I get seasons 3, 4, and 5.  Granted, this will probably be 20 years down the road.  But a girl can dream, can't she?

Tonight was a fund raiser dinner for the Theodosia Volunteer Fire Department.  It was also a chili cook-off.  They also had a few things they were auctioning.  The Pontiac Volunteer Fire Department was there in support.  One of the things auctioned was fudge.  The PVFD won the auction and gave it to me.  There was another fudge auction and the TVFD won and gave that to me as well so I "would have fudge from them as well."  So, I go to this fundraiser, bid on nothing, and walk away with TWO POUNDS of homemade fudge.  I cut off a nice sized chunk for a lady who was working and helping out.  I gave it to her and she had told me it was her birthday today.  I had no idea.  I just figured she deserved a special treat because she was helpful and warm and sweet.

We've been discussing Christmas and are thinking about heading to Indiana on the 23rd and leaving out on the 26th.  We have people who are willing to watch the animals.  Now, it is just a matter of putting it all together to make it work.
