Doctor's Appointment

I went to the doctor this morning kicking and screaming.  (This was done in a very mature fashion.)  I get there and I was asked to read and sign a consent form that would cover cryo, leep, and a few other things.

"Uh, no one told me this would be happening.  I am going to talk with the doctor before anything happens."
"Well, this is in case he decides to do this today."

I chewed my tongue until I was called back and I asked the nurse about it.  She said that I was only supposed to read it and talk with the doctor about it and my options.  Not sign it right then.  Needless to say, I never signed the thing.

The doctor came in and said he read my chart.  Because I am hpv negative across the board (they test for thirteen strains) then it will be a wait and see.  Have another pap in six months and see what that shows.  If it comes back positive, then we will discuss from there.

I am very thankful that this doctor is conservative especially with me not having the biggest risk factor.  If I was positive for hpv, then today would have been a bit different.  Wait and see works for me.  In the meantime, I will do my part to make sure I stay healthy.

I've heard that ppl can have abnormal readings for many reasons so maybe it is really nothing.
