Heading Home

We had a wonderful time camping in the Ozarks in the middle of the woods with no cell phone or Internet reception. We would make our phone calls (or return phone calls) when we hiked to the top of a mountain or would go into town. Except for the Lone Star Tick and Red Wasps, everything was beautiful. Granted, we got rained on and we had a muddy mess, but that is part of camping and part of life.
.
We met some of the nicest people around here and it made me not want to leave. But life calls and we have responsibilities that need tending to. We got a phone call today about Shorty, our pygmy goat who kidded a stillborn. So, we are heading back to tend to the fall-out from that.
.
Next week is my court date and while I am nervous, I am trying to remember that ultimately God is the one in control. I am hoping that the budget I put together that reflects dropped piano lessons and a cut back in other areas will help.
.
The Saturday following that (April 17) is a friend's wedding and I am in charge of the cake and hair. I am so excited for them. On the 20th, their baby is getting the hole in his neck stitched. The trach came out over six months ago and the hole has not closed up. (The one in the belly did within days of coming out.)
.
And now, we need to find a bathroom. We will be home by 2:00am. I will share more about our camping trip when I can blog without "I have to go to the bathroom. I'm thirsty. I'm hungry. Are we there yet? Charlie put his head on me. Bethany won't share the water. Hannah is being mean to me."
