Home

We get home after our horse ride, lesson, errand running, etc and think we are done for the day.  Just a quick scan to make sure all the animals are around and as we pull in, the pig does not jump up and spin in circles like she usually does.  I peer over at her through the darkness that is broken only by the headlight of the truck.  BABIES!

I hop out, turn on my own head lamp that I keep around my hat and head over there.  There are five babies and it looks like she's done since there is after birth.  They all look healthy and are all nursing so I am leaving the piggy family alone and will do a closer exam tomorrow in the light of day.  I made sure she got fresh water and feed and took the time to check the other animals as well.

There are now all kinds of jokes going through my head such as "This little piggy went to market, this little piggy stayed home...."  Yes, I'm twisted.  But, I'm also tired.

Good night.

Oink!

Five little pigs rolled in the mud
Squish, squash, squish, it sure felt good.
The farmer took a pig out, and cleaned him up nice

Four little pigs rolled in the mud
Squish, squash, squish, it sure felt good.
The farmer took a pig out, and cleaned him up nice

Three little pigs rolled in the mud
Squish, squash, squish, it sure felt good.
The farmer took a pig out, and cleaned him up nice

Two little pigs rolled in the mud
Squish, squash, squish, it sure felt good.
The farmer took a pig out, and cleaned him up nice

One little pigs rolled in the mud
Squish, squash, squish, it sure felt good.
The farmer took a pig out, and cleaned him up nice

No little pigs rolled in the mud,
They all looked nice and clean
The farmer turned his back and what do you know?
All those little pigs jumped back in the mud!
