There are angels among us

And God sends them in our time of need.  We lost a tire off the trailer.  It was running on the rim.  We pulled off of US60 in a little town called Dexter.  Here it is a Sunday night and we are in a little bitty town and we are leaving a trail behind us from the rim running on the pavement.  Pulling into a gas station, I go in and ask about a used tire place.  I tell them our situation and all the places are closed.  They are calling around and no one has a tire available.  We call Wal-mart and they don't have used tires, but they have new for $75.  We don't have $75 for a new tire.  So, we decided to see how far and if we can make it to the next town to see if they had used tires.  Or see if we can make it to West Plains and drop it there since we have to be there Tuesday for my appointment.

Since the gas station we were at had diesel, we decided to fill up.  I go in with the debit card and it gets rejected.  This surprises me since I know the money is there.  I had just checked the account online and compared it with my account book.  I head back outside to get Husband's card (we've had situations where his card is rejected and mine was accepted, but the same account) to see if his card would go through and this wonderful lady approaches me.  I'm near tears of frustration and she offers to help and tells me to follow her to Wal-mart.  I let her know that I need to go get my husband's debit card to pay for the gas and she pays for it for me.  I break down and start crying in relief and thankfulness.  We follow her to Wal-mart and find out the automotive department is closed.  After some back and forth, they open up for us and get the tire replaced.  Only it wasn't $75.  It was $110 plus disposal fee.  She took care of it.  Only she wasn't done yet.  She handed me money.  I thought she had handed me the change from the tire, but she didn't.  She handed me considerably more and told me to call her if we get stranded again.

This woman is truly an angel.  We have helped out many strangers in our life.  It feels weird being on the receiving end.  We prayed for help and He answered.  She prayed for a way to help us and He answered her.

Thank You, Father for sending one of your angels.  Thank you, Angel for answering His call.

You have always been the first in line to help others with anything and everything you have, I am so glad to hear that you were on the receiving end of help when you were in need.
