My beliefs

I don't talk much about what and how I believe on here beyond the fact that I do believe in the God of Israel and my faith is strong and deep.  How we live our lives is governed by our faith and keeping our Father in the center to guide us is the most important thing.  We live in accordance with how He would have us live and this is laid out in the King James Bible.  We also go to church and seek direction for major things in our lives from our church leaders.

Once Saved Always Saved:  We do not believe in this.  Every scripture that gives a reference to is has an "if" of some kind with it.  You are guaranteed salvation IF _____.

The second coming:  Jesus' second coming already happened.  You can read about it in Scripture.  Thomas didn't believe it was Him until he touched Him and stuck his finger in His side.  He was born, He lived, He died, He was resurrected, He came back.

The rapture:  We don't believe in this either.  In 70AD, Jerusalem fell.  Those who paid attention to the signs fled to the mountains.

There are other things that we don't believe that other modern Christians believe.  However, we do believe in His grace and mercy and know that He still works in our lives today.

My faith and beliefs are not up for debate.  They are as much a part of me as my eye color and my freckles.  It is a major part of who I am.

Any other questions, feel free to ask.  Be respectful and know that this is a topic that is not up for debate.  I am not going to waste my time trying to defend that which does not need defending, but I will answer honest questions.

I have heard this called the Rapture. What is your take on this passage?

Thessalonians 4:16-18 (King James Version)

16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

17 Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

18 Wherefore comfort one another with these words.

Without actually providing any of the scriptures to specifically explain your beliefs it is kind of hard to "debate" them anyway... LOL I wasn't intending to debate, just curious as to what scriptures you use regarding those beliefs and what you believe. So many people believe so many different things and I am always curious as to the differences and what they are actually based on. Most of the differences between church denominations are not things that are that important imo. Man has made them important and Satan has used that to divide the church, imo.
