Goat update

Patches is doing much better.  Her legs are wrapped and while still weak, she is walking.  Although her legs were ripped down to tendons, the tendons remained intact where exposed.

Frenchie is sot doing as well.  She is not able to walk.  One of her hind legs is ripped completely open.  She has at least three broken ribs.  Her rear right leg has a huge gaping wound and the tendons are severed.

Looking up mountain lions (because we weren't sure if it were mountain lion or bobcat) and comparing then to bobcats, there is no doubt in our mind.  Between the scat we have seen and the amount of damage, it is definitely mountain lion.

New rules are being established.  Well, no actual new rules, just a refinement of established rules.

George, Kim and all, that meow stuff sounded scary, think I would get in touch with a nearby forest ranger and look at the tracking and the scant for identification and if the offender is a protected or endangered species. Maybe it needs relocated. Like Alaska. Its official going to have a houseful for July's reunion. Ann,Danny, Scott, Pam, Linda and Randy (if not working) are all coming here. Do you know when you all are coming in? Ann and Danny will be leaving back out on Saturday the 3rd for their own get-together back in Columbus,to meet up with kids and grandkids at the Fireworks Park they've traditionally met. Weather permitting, I'd like to have everyone meet at Hawthorn park for a picnic. Hopefully anyway. Give me a call next time your up on the hill, love talking to you and the kids, err, the human ones. Love to all Auntie Barb AKA SIL.

Are you aware if a mountain lion has figured out you have a free meal it needs to be shot. It will take your children just as easy as a goat.
I hope you are reconsidering your great plan to play mountain people and get your crap together.

And of course, she should be taking advice from the likes of you. Dolt.

Wyatt - Thank you! You are wonderful no matter what other people think.

Sasha - A friend of mine lives in Washington State in a gated subdivision and she has a mountain lion that roams the front of her house and her neighborhood.
