Birthdays

There are several birthdays today.  One is a church brother of mine whom I like and respect.  One is a friend of mine who has moved here with us.  And one is for my favorite little guy in the world.  Charlie.

Eight years ago today, I gave birth to this red, wrinkly little carbon copy of Husband.  Since that time, he has filled me with joy, frustration, pride, anger, and has impressed me with his abilities.  He has met and surpassed many expectations I have of him.  I love him dearly and as he gives me a peek into the wonderful, delightful, mischievous, strange world of boys, I wouldn't trade him for the world.

For everything I have taught him in his life, he has taught me so much more.

Happy birthday my "Baby Boy."  (To which he always yells "BIG BOY!")  Yes, you are.  But you will always be my baby boy.
