Soaps!

We are surrounded by soaps!  I am pulling soaps from molds and cutting them to size.  I have Rose Hips, Mint, Tea Tree, Lavender, and Citronella.  Because of everything being wet from the rains, the soaps are not wanting to be pulled from the molds.  They were dry enough, but seem to have absorbed some of the moisture in the air making them now not quite dry enough to pull.  This is making for a soapy mess.

I also have clothes on the indoor line that are dealing with the same fate.  I hung them to dry when we got home last night and they have gotten to that "damp needs another 15 minutes in the dryer" type dry and just holding there.

We were going to move fencing today, but with the storms, metal fence, and lightening, we decided to hold off.  We'll move the fence another day.  I don't want to get hit.

There was a house that did get hit earlier today and it was toned out.  Husband was getting up and getting his boots on getting ready to respond, then he realized that we don't have the fuel.  So, he had to sit a structural fire out.

I have been trying to do work on-line for a new advocacy program for this area.  But I've had such bad connection that I decided to just wait.  I was going to talk with the coalition today, but that went by the wayside as well.  Reception during lightning storms is spotty and I get a lot of static.  So, the coalition will wait until tomorrow.

Hannah asked me earlier today if I can make bread tomorrow.  I can do that.  I don't mind.  I will make sure I set the yeast to proof as soon as I open my eyes.

They really do enjoy having me home and I am glad to be home.  I was never burned out from the long hours I put in.  That did not bother me.  Helping people is just what we do.  It's a no-brainer.  However, I was burned out from the broken promises, the two-facedness, the outright lies, the back-pedaling with more lies to cover up or "explain" the previous lies, and all that type of garbage.  It would be laughable if it weren't such a serious issue and people's lives weren't at stake.

Anyway, tomorrow, I am going to be baking bread.  I am also going to look for a cake recipe for Charlie.  His birthday is Friday and he said he wants to bake a cake.  I asked him "Do you want a homemade cake that I bake or are you saying you want to make a cake yourself for your birthday."
"I want to make it myself."
"You want a box mix or you want it from scratch?"
"From scratch."
So, for his birthday, he wants to bake his own cake.

Your behavior is typical co dependent. Taking time away from your family, being angry when others do not live up to what you think they should be doing, etc.
Your life will continue to be crazy until you do some serious work on yourself.

Co-dependent? Doubt it. Look up the definition. The relationship I am in is healthy and strong.

Others not living up to my expectations? I kinda figured honesty was an expectation everyone had. I didn't realize that me expecting people to be honest when talking with me was atypical.

As for the rest of it, I do not put people who are already fleeing for their lives into unsafe situations and as far as the money aspect of the whole mess goes, I am leaving that in the hands of the professionals to deal with.

As for my life being crazy, life is crazy. A child leaves a door open and goats and chickens come strolling in and I am jumping up shooing them out while making cheese and baking bread. That is typical and that is crazy and that is my home, my children, my family, and my life.
