Today was a very educational day for me. I had classroom style training regarding first responder handling of chemical suicide. I have decided that people are nuts, and I will never look upon a vehicle on the side of the road the same way again.
In other news, we have had nothing but rain and severe storms. We are flooded and everything is a mess. The van is not going anywhere because of parts of the road being washed away and streams that normally get drove across turning into rapidly running rivers. The truck can get through, but not the van.
The children are definitely feeling the effects of being cooped up due to the storms. They can play out in the rain (and enjoy doing so) but when it gets bad (hail, lightening, etc) they have to come back in. They are so used to being able to just run around outside and play freely that they are getting cabin fever.
The good news is our rain system is getting a good workout. :) We have not had to haul water in quite a while. Yee-haw!
Umm.... A tornado just hit Isabella. For reference, this is where we go to the laundromat. It's about 20 miles from here driving time. Closer as the crow flies. Yeah, these storms are nasty. But, we seem to be ok so far. We will just continue praying that we will continue to be ok.
I have two very pesky children who are insistent upon having my undivided attention.
