I did better today with my points. Yesterday, I was four points over. Today, I am nine points under. Plus, I am exercising more even though I don't have "time." I am doing things like squats when talking on the phone or side lunges (or what ever that thing is called when you rock side to side working the tush and inner thighs) while crocheting. I'm not good enough at crocheting to know how badly I am messing up, so I am not too worried about mistakes. I'm still learning the stitches and have no idea what I am supposed to be making or even know when it is supposed to be done. So keeping myself moving just a bit more will hopefully help. Plus, I am doing crunches each morning. And push-ups. If you want to call what I do a push-up. More like a beached whale trying to lift its way back to the ocean and failing miserably.
I got a phone call from M and she said her father is in town. And, he has his truck with him. We loaded the children up and they got to play in a Big Truck. Charlie, naturally, loved the horn and probably annoyed all of M's neighbors. The only saving grace might be the fact that a train was going by at roughly the same time.
While at M's, I got a phone call from the VA. George has an appointment tomorrow and we have to be there at 10:30. Small problem. Geography is at 11:00. So, I asked the main mom who comes to geography what her plans were and she said "going to your house." I asked her if she would reconsider and have me drop 2/3 of my children off. M is the "main mom" who shows. I do need to call E because I know she has expressed an interest and I would hate to have her show up and there be no one here.
Charlie shocked me. He spoke in church with no prompting. And not just that, but he also spoke his own words. He said he thanks God for his bedroom, his sisters, and being at church tonight. All on his own. This was all him. Not us coaching him.
I am thankful that Charlie is showing a lot of growth and maturity.
