Questions I never thought I would be asked

I'm sitting here up on the ridge of the mountain waiting for my blog to load so I can post an entry.  I am surrounded by the children and dogs enjoying a breeze while waiting for Husband to move a tree with the truck.

Hannah is playing with Sarge and she grabs a hold of his scrotum shaking it back and forth saying "Mommy, what's this?"  Poor dog.  He just laid there and didn't move.

These dogs have really impressed me with what they put up with when it comes to the children.  The children grab them, flip them over, do "tick checks" and poke in their ears, grab their mouths, and have even tried to pull off their nipples thinking they were ticks.  Not only do they put up with it, they go to the children when the children call them.  I don't get impressed by dogs easily.  They do serve a useful purpose, but to be impressed by them, that is rare for me.

Anyway, we are about 750 feet from where we will be putting the cabins at this point.  Work is progressing nicely.  There are going to be a few places where we will need to widen some more, but the actual big cutting is going well.

God is amazing in how He has allowed us this opportunity to do this and get all this work done.  Yesterday, I was sitting on a log and feeling a bit run down.  (My sugar was low.)  I said "I'm sorry.  I'm feeling weak right now."  I was talking with Husband and Bethany pipes up with "We are weak, but He is strong."  I smiled and said "You are right.  We can do all things through Christ who strengthens us."  I finished my orange, gave thanks to my Father, and went back to work with renewed energy.

Sometimes, it takes a small child to remind me of the greatness of God.

What a clever child to think of such a comment. Children can be such a source of inspiration, can't they.
