A day home

I spent the day home today and enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere that comes with being home. Granted, Hannah is sick, feverish, congested, and whiny, but that is a part of life. I also had a friend over today and her son's OT was here to do a therapy session. It was a cookie baking session, so all the children participated including mine. With the exception of Hannah.
.
I've been going through my kitchen and I am missing some stock pots and measuring cups. I have no clue where they are and it is annoying. I don't like the thought of having to buy something that I know I already own because I don't know where it is.
.
Charlie did his school work today with reluctance. Since he was not wanting to do his work, he decided to not pay attention and do it wrong. So, we need to work on focus.
.
This week-end I am going to be doing a lot of baking. I am going to make oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and chocolate cookie bowls. I am going to make several batches as gifts for various people.

What goes in a chocolate cookie bowl? How do you resist the urge to eat cookie batter? My recipes might say they yield 2 or 5 dozen . . . but I never get that many. I just don't understand why . . . . .;-)
